The exhibition “Identity Map” in a particularly cozy gallery is over

I am very glad for having the opportunity to hold a personal
painting exhibition “Identity Map” in the Small Gallery, B. Grincevičiūtė
Memorial Apartment-Museum, Beatrice House-Museum,
Vilnius this year.

In the particularly cozy gallery space,
the artworks lived their entire lives throughout June.

After a period of severe pandemic restrictions and
quarantine, almost after the year and a half, for me as an artist, it was like
a fresh air.

In this exhibition, I presented the series of paintings on the
theme of identity, which I analyzed through my inner experiences using a
landscape motif. These are my painting searches of the past few years.

Special thanks to the gallery chief Renata and Dovilė for
their great care and the exposing of  the
paintings. Due to the restrictions of the pandemic that were still in force, I
could not come to Lithuania for a longer period.

I also would like to thank the visitors who took the time to
visit my exhibition.

I would also like to thank the Lithuanian Council for Culture for the financial support to create this project.

See you in other projects in Lithuania!

In this exhibition, I present a series of the paintings on

Woman

Unfortunately, at the end of the 2020 most of my husbands and my own plans were ruined by the lockdown and other restrictions. Very sad, but there was nothing to do about this. I am very glad that I did manage,
however, to do something that I had in mind for a long time: I rediscovered and
reviewed the old negatives of my early works, which, unfortunately, I am no
longer in possession. I am also delighted to have taken photos of some of
the older paintings and drawings and uploaded them to my website. In these
works, through images of a female body, I tried to reveal a woman’s feelings
and states of mind and to reach the depths of a woman’s soul.

I share some of the works based on the motif of a female
body, more you can see in the section ’Earlier Works - Woman paintings’.
