Solo painting exhibition ‘Identity Map’

I am extremely happy to be able to take part in the
exhibition again after the world pandemic break more than one year. I invite
you to visit my personal painting exhibition “Identity Map”, which takes place
from June 10 to July 9 in the Small Gallery, B. Grincevičiūtė Memorial
Apartment-Museum,  Beatrice House-Museum, A. Vienuolio str. 12-1, Vilnius,
Lithuania.

In this exhibition, I present a series of the paintings on
the theme of identity, which I analyze through the landscape motif and express
my inner experiences. It’s my painting journey of the last few years.

Unfortunately, I was not able to participate in the preparation of exhibition, and I am very grateful to the gallery for exposing the artworks.

I am also thankful for the  support for the
Lithuanian Council for Culture.

Woman

Unfortunately, at the end of the 2020 most of my husbands and my own plans were ruined by the lockdown and other restrictions. Very sad, but there was nothing to do about this. I am very glad that I did manage,
however, to do something that I had in mind for a long time: I rediscovered and
reviewed the old negatives of my early works, which, unfortunately, I am no
longer in possession. I am also delighted to have taken photos of some of
the older paintings and drawings and uploaded them to my website. In these
works, through images of a female body, I tried to reveal a woman’s feelings
and states of mind and to reach the depths of a woman’s soul.

I share some of the works based on the motif of a female
body, more you can see in the section ’Earlier Works - Woman paintings’.

Alps mountains in France

This year has been a daunting test for many people in
the world. The limited life in this pandemic time has forced many of us to find
happiness in small things as well.

Fortunately, when the threat of a pandemic subsided, my husband and I were
lucky and at the end of June we had an opportunity to travel around the Alps in
France, in the vicinity of the village of Aussois. It was a big pleasure to
have great time painting in oils in pleinair. Here are some images painted
during the several pleinair sessions in the mountains.
